The International Arts and Crafts Festival

The International Arts and Crafts Festival, Jerusalem is held at the Khutsot Hayotser Arts and Crafts center, Mitchell Gardens and the Merrill Hassenfeld Amphitheater in the Sultan’s pool, opposite the Tower of David at the foot of the Old City Walls. This year the Festival is celebrating 37 years of the cultural events that has become a tradition in Jerusalem and the main tourist and artistic attraction of the summer season. More than one hundred and fifty of the best Israel’s artist and artisans exhibit paintings, prints, ceramics, metalwork and jewelry, weaving textiles, judaica, toys, crafts in various techniques, works in wood and more. The artists of Khutzot Hayotser are painters, sculptors, ceramicsts, calligraphers, leatherworkers, weavers, emboiderers and silversmiths, who fill this magical and vibrant place with rich and varied creativity from the beginning of the century. The artists of the Khutzot Hayotser host guest artists as well, connecting with them in a fascinating dialogue of the arts and crafts mixed with music, inving the visitors into a European carnaval atmosphere with jazz, artists creating, an Irish Pub and huge sculptures. Guest artists and artisans from abroad perform and exhibit their crafts and objects d’art at the Festival in unique booths  and exhibits and demonstrate the creative process of their work. The international exhibit includes authentic and varied arts and craft.

The public is invited to participate in this experience all year long, to meet the artists and be witness to amazing creativity in its beauty.


The Festival is from the 6th of august until the 18th of August. It is open every evening (except Fridays) from 18:00 – 23:00 and Saturday from one hour after the end of the Shabbat until midnight.

The admission price is 60 NIS per adult and it ranges and changes depending on how many family members you have or how old each one is.
